You can retry the intro with lights out. You can also move some rocks (and the anemone if possible) around so your clown is also new to the area . When you purchased the new clown was it alone or in a group at the store ? If in a group and it was the largest it might of sexed to female already .
I visited them when they were in the retail basement location . Rob was always super cool and had a great selection . His prices were great and he tossed stuff in . It was when I was just starting and he would answer questions and give great advice . the new location is just a bit too far but I...
PaulB preps his by sanding and then adding grout/cement to parts of the outside to "age" them and give Coraline to grow on . Read up on his technique because his look as good as it gets . He also has wrote that its a safe and good place for pods to grow in the main tank and when they decide to...
Come to think of it skip my suggestion, I wouldn't put a dracula in a 2.5 If you must put a fish in there Check this one out ,info in link . Mine is only 3/4 inch and is 2 years old ...
Is that pic from "27 clown 27 days" on reef central . If so it is an inspiration for a future setup . Best of both worlds, anemone tank on one side and a regular reef on the other . I keep checking that thread .
They wont try to leave . Mine go all the way to the top of the glass and hang out there for a while . I love the cleaning they do but they do bulldoze anything over thats not glued down . Good luck with them .
A 2.5 is very small, forget the clown. One of the nicest small gobies is the dracula goby but 2.5 gals might be to small for that. Heres a pic,but they are expensive . You should only keep one very small fish in there so might as well make it a good one .The banded goby is also very nice,I have...
Thanks all for the info, links and suggestions . I guess it will be a carpet. I cleared a large area of floor/sand space for it . I also removed my school of chromis. I have decided on the bright green carpet because I like the wa it makes clowns stand out . Now to find a nice one ???
Nice place, friendly owner,he's setting up and adding more . Really nice selection of corals and frags, bought a nice large head dendro from him and its doing great.
I agree with evo. Not much of that stuff is needed for a salt setup . I love the 20 long . Look in the used equiptment post for lights ,filtration and rock . You will be surprised if you shop around how little used equiptment is . Dont forget ebay and craigslist .
Try to get t-5 lights,they...
I think I understand what your asking . You dont want too much flow/turbulance in the 10 gal. ? But it will all depend on what type of overflow will be feeding the 10 gal. You can restrict the feed into it/or out ,ball/gate valve, but try to get as much turn over as possible. What do you plan on...
I am going in a different direction with my tank . I plan to not add any more sps and focuse back on my zoo,s,duncans and dendros . I have a nice area of sand (about 2" deep)in the center of the tank that I would love to add a anemone to . I would like one that is a bottom dweller and nice in...
