Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Try cutting the lighting back. They have been in the dark for a while so hitting them with 10 wpg is a little much all at one time.
As for the stuff coiming out of the red one, sometimes mushrooms will spew their stomachs from stress. Usually they will recover as long as the stress factor is...
Not a problem.
Another word about Panacur, it will also kill all of your algae eating snails and inverts. The effects are long lasting too. I have seen tanks that were Panacured over 2 years ago that still cannot support astrea snails, sea hares and even some corals still.
We have no idea...
Try contacting John or Shelley at http://www.floridapets.com/. If they don't have them in stock they should be able to get them for you. Tell them that Matt from Seahorse.Org sent you.
Your best bet would probably be to call them on the phone as that is the quickest way to get in touch with them.
Do NOT, I repeat do NOT use Panacur in that tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Panacur is toxic to most corals and any type of worm you have in the tank, including feather dusters, bristle worms, spaghetti worms, etc.
Your best bet is manual removal, you can just cut them off the rock. Even though they aren't...
Right now I am keeping H. erectus, but have kept kuda, barbouri and reidi in the past along with multiple pipefish species.
I'll definitely share some pics when I get the zosterae going again.
I would love to see a picture of a 3 inch H. zosterae. I too have kept them for more than 3 years and never had any of that size, even the collectors and breeders I know have not gotten them to that size. The largest ones I have seen are just barely over an inch in size with the tail uncurled...
The hose I use from the pool store isn't ribbed on the inside, it's smooth. The stuff I saw at HD or Lowes is sold by the foot and had the ribbing inside.
Yes it does come in different sizes. The 1 1/4 inch is the size that fits over the 1 inch PVC, it also comes in 1 1/2 inch size.
I got mine from a pool supply store, a 3 foot section was around $20 if I remember right.
After re-looking at your photos, if you remove that coupler piece, on the...
Candi,
The drain hose may feel solid, but actually it is slightly flexible. It is the same hose I use for my drain.
Like John said, you need to put a short piece of 1 inch PVC into the elbow and the hose will slide over the end of the pipe. If you dip the end of the hose in hot water, it will...
Floatswitches.net is now aquahub.com. They also sell complete kits that have everything except the top off resevoir and pump. Like Brian said, any small pump or powerhead will do. It just depends on how far you need to pump the water.

Brian, it looks like he's running one of those all in one tanks. The filter/sump area is built into the tank but divided from the display area with a false wall.
Glad you kinda got it worked out. I was wondering how you weer gonna solve that small dilema.
It was my pleasure helping get that thing in place. Thanks to you and Phyl for the pizza and beers. ;)
I'll be there from Thursday to Monday.
I can be found at the Seahorse.Org booth, or just ask for me there and someone should be able to point you in my direction.
