Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
I use a turkey baster to do the rocks before a water change, I don't hit the sand intentionally but end up blowing some sand around. That said I have 4-5 inches of super fine sand so I am in the DSB end of the spectrum.

I think it has iodine in it right? Which I have found to be very helpful for my tank too.
I think WPG is good when it comes to MH and PC lighting .... gets slightly skewed with T5 and well can you imagine 900 W of LED lighting ;D .. would be like putting your tank in a microwave.

Assuming you have good bulbs in T5 lighting and a decent...

I agree with you in Paul's tank it it quite interesting...I have read his entire thread on MR and some others that he wrote before he came sometimes to NJRC. I completely respect what he has managed to accomplish...

This is what I have in the back of my nano(QT).
I put floss in the first chamber so I tank it out ever few days. Helped clean up the surface.
I had cheato behind with a light bar worked pretty well.

6M is good 9 is stretching it. Since your one bulb is new I would set up a schedule to replace one bulb every 2-3 months.
