If you can take the fish back I would strongly suggest it. If it won't eat it is going to starve. Better you get a fish that can live in your tank.
The goby on the other side is a great fish to keep. I just got a pair from AO that are in my QT and they are little pigs and very interesting to watch.
While I commend you all for recycling, I honestly just don't get it. I mean I understand the concept but why not use a seashell if you don't already have a graveyard of turbos? I guess if you like the look fine, and Paul's tank has a certain charm because his is different.
I guess what I am...
There are some others like the shaving brush plant that grown in the sand that are attractive, turtle grass is another. They are supposed to be grazer resistant...but I found conchs ate the shaving brush plant.
Greg's tanks with the macro's are quite beautiful I wouldn't knock them.
I don't think it looks that big. I have the big rectangular one on the Tek so maybe I am used to it. Does it come with a cover for the overflow?
In any case it is a great looking medium sized tank. Congrats.
T5 hands down.
My suggestion for bulbs UVL Aquasun 10K, ATI Blue Plus, and Geissman Actinic. I don't run the ATI, may someday, but the results that I have seen are great.
Fixtures...you will want a minimum of a 4 bulb maybe 6 bulb fixture.
Tek, Catalina Aquarium(what I have), Coralife all make...
You could probably do PC even if you want to go cheap. Really don't need MH or even T5. I would say whatever fits inside the hood you will have to make would be what to use. Would use a blue bulb type spectrum and a 6500 bulb if you have two bulbs as will give your fish a nice pop color wise and...
I know one tank had problems early on...say 2006 ish ???. I don't think it happens often now.
Check out Nano-Reef.com and search there to see if there is any news.
Just joshing you .... funny thing is the first couple of times I went there I got the same feeling. I am sure if you search you would find my comments. Because Will never gives the hard sell(unless he is "saving you money" by suggesting you the 120 G tank because it is almost the same as the 90G...
Hmmm sounds like the surface skimmer is not working. If you have the big sponge in there still I would consider doing a simple DIY with a floss or something that you can just throw out. I remember when I started I had the sponge in and too high(double trouble) the water didn't flow through the...
Good prices and friendly. Nice change from the local compitition. :)
They have some other stuff going in like bromiliads and orchids I understand looking forward to that too.
I believe color is the primary reason for them, but it is easy to argue that certain corals and coraline algae do better under actinics too.
With enough blue and purple spectrum bulbs corals especially the LPS give me flashbacks to the black light days, now all I need is a Led Zepplin poster...
