All my fish are mysis pigs...I try to make sure they get a decent variety of food. I wouldn't call all flakes garbage but a variety of food will be good for your fish.

On Sanibel collecting snails ect is really easy as there are just tons of live critters. But needed to know the laws before I went. If there is a particular item that I can find then will get in touch. James

If the skimmer is under warrentee just get a new one as you probably will void the warrentee using silicone on it. Sorry to hear your trouble. Hanging a bag of carbon will help even without a reactor, try to get some flow over/through it.

I would skip the mandarin completely as your angel and jawfish are going to be major competition for food. Otherwise looks good.
