Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Hey Paul,
Sorry to hear you are not going to make it.
If you need me to I can pick up the stuff for you and either drop it off or you can pick it up at my house.

I used cutting boards...or starboard as it is sometimes called. Thought about eggcrate but decided cutting boards would be stronger...don't get the wooden ones ;D.
I am with Bill on the overflow the greater the overflow the more noise you end up with. Go with powerheads.
Building a hood with a staggered bulb arrangement would be a great idea. I think the downside of the parabolic mirror vs individual one is the that the par peaks are slightly lower ...but...
Most likely it is just in the part of the Ich's life cycle where it falls off and falls to the substrate. If the fish continues to be stressed the ich that has fallen off where the hippo sleeps will catch a ride back on in about 10-14 days. I agree with assesment that a health fish will...
They do sell this one.

Or if I get nuts a LitemeterIII or something like that. I would rather be safe then sorry. Better to under dose then over dose.
So the RBTA that got I got moved...
No I mean just the two part ESV....I dose by hand so unless very drunk it is hard to really screw up the dosing...then I usually just forget. It is just probably my paranoia that if I do either a calcium reactor or kalk I will at some point crash.
Yep, we did the upgrade thing from a 24G to the 120G....I suggested another tank to my wife last night. Lets say I was met with a somewhat icy look and a sarcastic remark.
We have discussed a future species tank...like pipefish or seahorses when one of the kids gets mature enough to take some...
I have some eggcrate if you are going to the meeting...let me know how big a piece you need. When I used like the phosban filter pad I rinsed it out every few days and changed every couple of weeks....floss I just replaced every few days.
Just watch your nitrates....I used couple different things but always made sure I kept up with the maintainace.
I still use it in my QT tank but test for almost daily and change the filter media constantly.
Re: Brian's 225g Monstrosity!
If you live near David then I likely can help on Monday too....I take the train from Woodbridge and then go over to Dunnellen.
That is what most of the all in one nano type tanks have.
I had a refugium set up in mine, along with a bag of phosbane, and I also used filter floss that I replaced every few days. Don't see why you couldn't do the same inside that tank....bit of a different approach but suppose doable...
I think they have problems with bigger bubbles. I gently loosen them with my finger you don't need a screw driver guys....man up already little algae won't hurt you. ;D Try not to break them but it happens. I just work them loose and pull them out when I get one too big for the crabs.
You can certainly keep SPS under T5 lighting, Tek lights, Catalina Aquariums, Ice Cap retros, and there are bunch of other ones. I would say 6 or 8 bulbs for you tank would work. I have 8x54 Catalina Aquarium fixture and it is doing great. I think JerseyWendy had a 6x54..Tek on her 75...if...
I wanted to start this thread before I saw we had a new forum. Think it is the right place for it.
So it was almost exactly one year from the start of our reef tank. We had a vague idea that we wanted to upgrade and then I stopped at Bills for a group buy pickup. That was the push I needed.
So...
