Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
That is very cool....do you have to take your reflector out? I would think that it is just useless as the LED is directional. Please let me know how it goes. PM me the website mate so I can take a look too.
Very interesting ... I would seriously consider something like that. Will have to take a look.
Not that I currently have the money for it mind you. :'(
Blue ones can add some pop mine at night are very cool. There are some different LED light bars that would be rather easy to add. White or blue will both add some lighting to your tank.
You could supplement what you have with either VHO or LED lights.
VHO would give you more pop color wise and you could use your T5 at 6500 or 10K for growth.
LEDs give good shimmer in my opinion so for little energy bump you could add some LEDs blue or white ones.
What you have is equivalent to...

Looks a lot like these which are the cheap version of the Tek lights.
Don't know if you need 8 bulbs on that small a tank, I know that ryan88 was selling his lighting...
Cardinal fish (CB), blenny, wrasses(if tank is covered) of the smaller variety, dottyback (with care, try for more gentle one), hawkfish(with caution), chalk bass, dwarf angel and chromis as previously mentioned. You could probably get away with one tang but would only suggest kole or tomini...
Don't give up on any of your corals right away. They may surprise you. I have a frogspawn that really was beat up by high temps last year and it is now doing pretty well.
Cool Paul, thanks for the tips. I was talking with Bill the other night at AO and seems like you have a bunch of us hooked on the idea. Will let you know how it works out. Appreciate the participation here you really added a lot to the board in your short time here.

Take care of that Bax the infection can be a bugger. Make sure you swirl your wiskey with that finger or something. Glad to hear you got everything moved. Hope you took some pictures to document it all.
If you have a canister filter you can run it on a very temporary basis just to clean the gunk from the water after stirring it up. Have read that some have success with that, and if the premise is your rocks are trapping waste then this might help speed things along.
You have to buy the PH probe on the jr....don't know about the III. I ordered the jr with additional PH probe...not the lab grade just standard one. Choose the option on the page with the jr as I couldn't find the standard probe separately.
I agree with the above.
I would do a minimum of 20% water change max 50% depending on what you can afford, try to do it once or twice with max amount.
Make sure you blow the rocks with a turkey baster or power head before you start the water change.
Try to limit how much you feed the tank...
First if you have mangroves then you need the mud.
You don't need mud in the refugium, it is supposed to supply trace minerals ect. However I bought it with my refugium, covered with sand and rubble with cheato on top. Works great for me. Will not make any claims on its vital importance, but I...
