    LEDs-mag 12 return pump-nac7 skimmer

James, are you going to the meeting at Brian's this month? If so, I live in Blackwood so I could easily get the pump and bring it to the meeting for you. You can arrange payment with Dan and let me know.

    Over flows

I would highly recommend doing this only after draining the tank first. As John (jgraz) pointed out, you may be able to remove the overflow wall with a razor and/or fishing line... but it won't be a clean cut due to the tight angles you'll be working with. Therefore, once you remove the wall...

    r&r aquatics

Apparently they plan on being a vendor for our Frag Swap in June since we're on their schedule of events. ;) I know they enquired about becoming a sponsor for us too, but not sure if they ever followed through.

    Happy St. Patty's Day!

Haha, that's great Don! Sounds like you had as much fun as the kids today. The dye in the toilet was priceless.

Hello everyone. As the newly elected President, I'd like to formerly introduce and congratulate the new Board of Directors (BOD) for 2013! The voting period ended this afternoon and the results are now in. We'd all like to thank everyone who took the time to vote even though many positions...

Since No one else is I will

First off, just wanted to say that there are already a LOT of posts in this forum. You weren't seeing any because the default is to only view posts made in the last month. If you scroll down to the bottom of the thread and look under "Thread Display Options", there is a drop-down box that says...

    I’m Switching Teams

Yea, I was thinking that was a bit much too. I only use a lil less than a 1/2 cup per gallon or around 7 cups for 15g. So your are adding about 2 cups of fillers per 15g?

    I’m Switching Teams

Sorry Paul, it's late and my brain isn't working 100% right now... so I can't provide a link at the moment... but I remember reading somewhere that all salt mixes will contain a certain amount of the "trace elements" because they are naturally contained in the main chemicals that are used to...

One hobby leads to the next

Awesome! Glad you guys got a chance to try SCUBA. You saw a seahorse on your first dive? Very lucky! Cool looking sponges but that's a strange looking blue tang! :p I think you put the wrong link in there Mike. PS, Nikki already looks like a pro. *EDIT* OK, apparently during my post you...

    Wow.. goby survived in overflow.

Kevin, sorry for your loss, especially after the apparent "rescue". :sorrow: I had a very similar experience as Pete (zippy) with my neon dottyback... Went on vacation and came home to find he was "missing". Thought he was dead but never found him. Fast forward about 2 months and when I...

    My First Meeting

Bryan, I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed one of your pics (from your link) to put on our Home Page. It's in the "Past Meetings" section.

    Jebo WP-40!! Wow!

Price is good, but in the video, I saw 2 x VorTech MP-40's in that tank (one next to the Jebo, and one opposite side of the tank). Were these also running at the same time to add extra flow? I couldn't really tell if they were on or not.

POTM picture on the home page

Fixing the front page will be a high priority for me for the next term. I don't know exactly why some of you are getting a blue placeholder for the images, but I intend to figure it out. In the meantime, for those of us that can actually see the pictures on the home page... I need some pics...

    Tricks of the trade

I was just pulling the flow tube up so that it was above the opening, then poured my pellets in around the tube... dropping it back down when done. The strainer looks like a good idea though and would free up a hand. Good tip Brian.

    June Frag Swap

Yes, as Brian stated, there was a conflict with another show taking our conference room on June 8th, so we're hoping to change it to June 15th. We have the OK with the Expo center, just waiting to hear back from our guest speakers to see if they're available that weekend instead. We hope to...

    DIY Nano Cube Stand

Ok, thanks Paul. I was considering getting one of those pocket hole jigs before I built my stand (frame is already done) but I got along without it. I see how easy and clean they make it look though, so I may just grab one. Their just opening up a Harbor Freight near me and I've been looking...
