If you have the stock lights at the LPS should be fine mine are doing well with stock 24G AP so same CP lights more or less. The clam I guess try to get it up as close to the light as possible I would think it should be OK...you have a timer for the lights right?
Thanks guys...Tank is looking very nice rgarofalo..had to go back and check it out since you and I have pretty similar settups and livestock. Think that seals the idea. :)
So Reeftopia has the Atlantic Pygmy Angel on their site. I have thought about getting one, I understand they are cautiously reef safe. Does anyone have one? Has anyone purchased one from Reeftopia? Problems? This would be my third and last fish in my tank. Pseudocromis, clown and this one. Have...
Hiya I will volunteer for summer 2009 I am in the central area.
Second just a thought but instead of north, south and central; how about north, south, east and west. You could easily cut the central area into two. And for instance I am darn close to the shore so getting all the way out west is...
When I bought my ric it had a tiny bit of rubble but my urchin managed to dislodge him. He curled up and the super glue idea wouldn't work. Do you think putting it in a shot glass on top of a shell will get him to attatch?
I have a pseudocromis...and no bristle worms....but beware that I think 6 line is similar to my guy in that they are a bit aggressive. Pipefish are if I am right pretty docile. Will be interested in what everyone has to say.
Do you test for Si? I don't know how it would get in there but cyano lives on that it so that could be a part of your problem. Like I said my tank looked like crap but with water changes and hanging a bag of phos and Si remover that has taken care of the problem. Plus I have bumped up the flow...
I had the god awful worst case of cyano and I overcame it. I didn't use RO water to start :-[ and it took me a couple of months to get rid of my problems. I still have some macro algae issues and I constantly try to pick it out but other then in one dead corner I have filled with rubble I have...
I have a Koralia 2 and my standard pump ... so just under 35X total turnover. I have a lot of surface movement (which keeps the rest of the tank moving pretty nicely) but of course do not direct anything right at the Frogspawn, you can rip the soft parts away from the skeleton.
