Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Well, my buddy Mike showed up with all the plywood. Man, he did a great job on it! He made all the edges cut on 45 degree angles so when the big doors are closed it looks like the edges match perfectly.
The bad news is that I got out the 48" piano hinge and did a dry run... the way I'm going...
Tunze Osmo is a really good one (I use it) because it comes with everything (including the pump) and is very reliable. The newer models use an optical sensor instead of a float switch and as long as you clean them every couple months they are very accurate. Also, the newer ones have a magnet...
Thanks for the compliments everyone!
Don, I plan to paint it out in the garage, with the door wide open. I also have a couple fans that will be running in there to blow the fumes outside. Not really concerned about that.
Jim, I hadn't considered those, but if the doors don't flip up the way...
Yep, the animated ones are much more fun. What are the odds of any of us ever using any of these?:

GFO can make your water "too clean" but this is usually due to having too much gfo in the reactor. Slowing the flow may help but you may want to consider reducing the amount of media too.
I'd also recommending double checking all your other parameters too, to see if something else may be...
Nobody likes empty promises! Haha, well it took me much longer than I anticipated and even though I'm still not finished getting the canopy/leds/controller setup, I've made some progress to warrant an update.
First off, I'm going to disregard my last post and skip to my most recent stuff first...
Since a few people have requested new smilies lately, I'm giving this old thread a bump. We're hoping to change up the smilies available when posting... so browse through this thread and feel free to make suggestions gang.
I've heard great results from using Melafix for treating eye symptoms and bacterial related issues.
Never tried it before but I have some just in case.
Sponsor us or we boycott your store? :o
Just kidding, lol. My fish need their live blackworms, so that isn't gonna work for me.
We should have a plan. Maybe we can start by asking them if they sponsor NJRC every time we go? If enough people do that maybe they'll see we have a big crowd...
I think Don and some others have tried to get them to sponsor before but they weren't very interested from what I understand. Who knows though, with the salt buy info maybe we could change their minds?
