    Plumbing plan

Yep, the clamps I suggested were meant to be for the black tubing I suggested. Flex PVC is too rigid to be clamped. Dave, I'm in agreement with the plan to have a single, uninterrupted drain to the skimmer section. The only reason I'd say TEEing off the drain to feed a fuge would be if it was...

    DIY LEDS - save me

For Cree LEDs, you got either http://rapidled.com/ or http://reefledlights.com/ For Bridgelux (and some epileds) you got http://aquastyleonline.com/ All of them have DIY "kits" that include everything you need.

    Conservation of Energy

I think that's it. Depending on when you bought them, it will have different impellers. Keep in mind that BM doesn't make the Atman pumps, they just buy them and use them on their skimmer. I bought mine brand new, but it was over a year ago, so I likely have the old style. Yes, the pump is/was...

    Aquavitro salinity users

I agree with both of Paul's suggestions too. Also, mixing the two salt brands in once container may cause a reaction and the precipitation. When changing over salt brands, I think it's better to mix separately and then use up the old first... then introduce the new slowly over time via the...

    Conservation of Energy

I've taken my pump apart several times to check/clean the impeller due to all the issues I've heard about. I can say for sure that mine uses the mesh wheel and it looks like this: I'd be interested in trying the needle-wheel impeller for it though, just to compare the difference in performance.

    Conservation of Energy

Yep, my BM NAC7 cone uses that pump and I couldn't be happier. I can set mine up after my weekly cup cleaning maintenance and have foamy bubbles within 5 minutes of starting the pump... and making brown/green skimmate within 30 minutes. If that thing works like mine, you'll love the SWC, which...

    Plumbing plan

Sorry, I didn't respond right away. I am at work, so I pop in when I get a second. :o I'd stay away from clear plastic tubing as much as possible. Any light that gets in there will cause algae to grow, buildup inside the tube and eventually constrict the flow. If you can find black tubing...

    Plumbing plan

Not sure about re-designing your whole plumbing plan... but here's a couple suggestions to help correct the current one, or incorporate on a re-do. 1. Pipe straps like these can help alleviate some of the torque on the pipes, which will help with stress on the bulkhead. There are different...

    300 Gallon upgrade

Wow, first time I had the chance to check this thread out Richie. I'm at a loss for words bud. All I can say is great job on everything you did. Sorry about the war coral though. Would have been nice if that piece stayed together, but I'm sure it will grow back eventually.

Apollo Reef LED's... anyone have them?

Yea, I need to ship my relay box back to Reef Angel (as well as my PWM module because that needs to be modified too). This may seem like a bit of a hassle, but Roberto isn't charging me for any of the modification work nor the return shipping... so that's another plus for them. Their customer...

You're twisted. :o Haha, I guess if it's done in a tasteful manner, it would probably be pretty neat to have them forever.
