    Here's my Big Office System

Re: Here's my now 375 (was 120) by Bax We just introduced a flamback angel to our 20g and we did not quarentine like we should have. We have been spoiled as our LFS allows us to pay for the fish and keep them there for a week or so to make sure there is no outbreak. We just started feeding more...

    cleaner and fire shimp together?

You can keep those two different species together. We had a 20g with a pair of cleaner, pair of fire, and a pair of peppermints. Fires and cleaners will be more active and outgoing when kept in pairs so if you can get two it is nice. The only ornamental shrimp that has ever attacked our other...

    Clownfish & GBTA?

Sometimes our picassos are so buried in the GBTA you can barely see them. Somtimes it is head first sometimes butt first, so nothing to worry about.

    Clownfish & GBTA?

I have a pair of a. percula picasso clownfish that hosted my GBTA within a week of putting it in the tank. They were hosting the frogspawn that was in there already so we took out the frogspawn and they went right to the GBTA.

    Live Black worms

The only problem I have had with blackworms so far is swatting away my cleaner shrimp and hermits from stealing them from my corals. My LPS and dendro love the black worms and look great. My fish took a second to figure it out and then started pulling them out of the baster. Even my cleaner goby...

    Phosphate Lvl's Really High

1st retest the water, make sure the reading was accurate. If I am reading that right, you are using tap water for water changes? You might want to also test the tap water to see if that is the source of the phosphates. You can try things like phosban or chemipure but that really is only going to...

    evo bc29t

We actually went with just the straight AquaC skimmer. The nano is rated 5-25 g and the urchin is in sump and we don't have a sump on any of our tanks. We decided that going with a stonger skimmer would be a better decision and we were so impressed, we bought one for our 20g as well. You don't...

    evo bc29t

For the lighting, zoas, softies and mushrooms should be no problem at all. I know they make a skimmer to fit in the back of the BC29 but I don't think I have ever heard of someone recommending them. They are air stone driven which is pretty worthless. I love the remore but you would have to...

    Corals for Nano?

In my 23g I have PC lighting and have no problems with zoos and mushrooms. I have not tried other softies as they are not to my taste. I also keep some LPS, acans, trumpets, chalices and a duncan. You might not get the same growth out of them as under higher lighting but they still do well. My...

    Dendro

Got that dendro from OGII for $50. It is already sprouting a new head so I am excited to see how this grows out.

Whats in the back of your NANO?

Don't put it in a mesh metal bag, it will just collect junk. I just have in in there, it is more like branch than rubble to there is plenty of room back there for things to flow through. I just vacuum them out every few months to make sure nothing collects back there.

Whats in the back of your NANO?

Just left the back chamber in the dark. Threw cured live rock in there and I am glad I kept it separate as it has aipsatia and mojamo. Need to pull that out tomorrow. I live in Brielle NJ (08730). We threw some in our 20g and in the 20g refugium and now a nice little colony took form on the live...

Whats in the back of your NANO?

I very luckily had a red macro algae as a hitch hiker on some live rock. This way I do not have to worry about lighting a back chamber and adding chaeto. The algae looks cool and actually glows under the led moon lights. If anybody wants some let me know, it is about to be trimmed. In the...

What type of fish should I add?

On a more serious note, get the chocolate chip star out of the tank or he will eat your anemone. You can look at a dwarf angel like a flame, coral beauty, flamback or pygmy. You might be able to fit certain reef safe wrasses in there or one of the smaller tang species. You also might want to add...

What type of fish should I add?

I think you m Well if you are going to go this route you might as well get a Nahacky's Angelfish. Absolutely beautiful dwarf angel that would easily fit in a 55 gallon. http://www.saltcorner.com/sections/zoo/fish/angelfishes/centropyge/Cnahackyi.htm If you can find one they generally run...

Purple Firefish OK in my Tank

Pull the chocolate chip star out, they will eat corals and are not reef safe at all. I have not heard of calcium builing on walls but if you have a glass tank get a scraper.

Our 30 Gallon Cube (pics included)

For mynd. Top down view of our zoa rock. There are nuclear greens, purple deaths, jokers, purple people eater, and alpha and omegas in there. Two good pictures of our clowns near the anem. Both get a nice pic here.

    Got Hair Algae?

Don't get the lettuce nudibranch they don't eat hair algae. They only eat a specific type of macro algae and as onefish2fish said they can very easily get chopped up in a powerhead.
