Our 30 Gallon Cube (pics included)

Same vendor who sold us the bangaiis sold us the assesors. I talked to the rep at ORA who said the will be shipping out this coming week and expect them in stores in October. He said the retail price should run about 30$-40$ depending on the retailer.

    Her 20 (pics)

We really like the tiny MOFIB ones but they were not for sale. We are hoping some day to breed them out and have an urchin in there because it is so cool to watch them swim around the spines.

    Her 20 (pics)

One of the vendors at MACNA had them in their frag tank, he got them from a customer who breeds them. I don't remember the vendor, would have to look at a floor plan. He said if he knew the demand for cardinals he could have brought a 100 of them. Found the website of the vendor...

Our 30 Gallon Cube (pics included)

Forgot to mention we got a pair of yellow assesor basslets for this tank as well. Very hard to get a pic of, but they are doing well so far. When we were acclimating one decided to go carpet surfing but we got him back in quick enough. He has been a bit elusive but the other one has been great...

Our 30 Gallon Cube (pics included)

So we had a lot of fun at MACNA for out thirty gallon. First off hardware, we picked up a sweet ceramic magnetic frag rack. It holds on to the side of your tank and has six drilled spots for frag plugs. We are excited about it as having a nano does not give you the most room. We know we could...

    Her 20 (pics)

As promised here are the new pics. We did not really get any new corals for the 20g at MACNA. We got some nice neon green clove that is coming out, just now fully out yet. However, our big score was four bangaii cardinals. They are all tank raised and doing very well so far. Originally I bought...

Wanted to introduce myself..share pic of my new tank

You might want to look into something like biospira that jump starts a cycle. If you have all cured liverock and have no livestock in there to start the ammonia spike which will seed the bacteria, you might not see the cycle. With something like biospira you are just adding the bacteria. I got a...

Wanted to introduce myself..share pic of my new tank

Welcome to the club and good luck with the tank. I have a pair of black and white clowns in a 12 gallon and they are fine. I don't have any other fish in there, but the clowns are a nice size for that tank.

More Squirts! Love these things ... take a look, SquirtCam!

The coral magazine that is out right now (unless they have a new one) has a HUGE article on sea squirts and their care (they are on the cover). If you can't find it let me know, we have it.

Clown and Half Black Angel Killers

One way or another you are going to have to get the fish out either to sell them or put them in quarantine to add other fish first. The rule of thumb has been to add the most passive fish first and then add the more aggressive ones, this gives the passive ones time to setup a territory first...

2g Jugs for mixing Calc, Mag, Alk

We were looking for a 8 gallon container to mix saltwater and found a garbage can at Wegmans for like 5 bucks. A lot of places were doing back to school sales and garbage cans were all over the place. Works great for us.

    Gorgonian

We are going to leave it alone, we noticed as the polyps opened only like two tips did not have polyps. So far so good, the polyps are fully extended and they are bright blue which is cool. We checked for bubble and this piece had none, they got it in on thursday and we bought it on friday.

    Background

Certain fish (especially tangs) will attack a mirrored image of themselves and can easily stress themselves out leading to not so much fun stuff (ich). You can buy a background to put in the back of your tank which some people do because it can be easily taken out and cleaned. Some people like a...

    Gorgonian

We just picked up a beautiful gogonian from trop (The sale was still going on). We have it in the middle of the tank under a 250w MH and have two koralia 2s on either side of it to provide flow. So far so good as the polyps have full extension. We noticed though that the tip have no polyps and...

For the powder is it 1/2 teaspoon for 20g mixed in 8 ounces of fresh water. We did 3/4 of a teaspoon in 12 ounces for the the 30 g and you dose when the light are off. We are starting with every other day dosing, and you go from there depending on your levels. I will keep you updated.

If you read the description it keep both your PH and alk levels up so it is kind of an all in one product. We were looking for ways to simplify the process and this fit the bill.

    Shrimp Feeding

I use Rods Reef which is a blend of just about everything. http://www.rodsfood.com/original.html My shrimp like the bigger meatier pieces. Also, PE mysis is a very popular brand of food that we also add.

    Shrimp Feeding

You need a special breeding tank to raise shrimp, ours have been pregnant constantly for like 9 months and they just release the eggs (which the fish love).
