I've never had an issue with current nova lighting.....I have used the nova extremes without an issue.
Now their outer orbit combo fixtures are a different story....have blown out an internal ballast on one of those.
It was a halide ballast that went bad not a t-5.
Can you post exact...
For me it was easy.....My wife made me sign a contract that says I wont buy any more tanks till after we move.
Its hanging on my refrigerator in plain sight for everyone to see.
I can understand her point though..... I started out with a 46 bow and am now up to a 125 (I cant remember all the...
Okay my lid says 10 cups per 20 gals (I usually mix 20 gal at a time) So thats half a cup per gallon if my math is correct this morning.
It should get you to between 1.024 to 1.025 depending on how accurate your gallon measurement is
Mine tends to run closer to the 1.024 but my water...
I'll have to look at the lid on mine when I get home.
After I figured out how much I needed per gallon I wrote it on the lid of the bucket and now every time I get a new bucket I put the old lid with the written mixing amount on the new bucket.
Of course I cant remember what it is and am stuck...
Thanks for all the great info :D
I guess I have a bit of work to do in the morning to get all the pieces out of where they have fallen.
I wonder if small zip ties would work as well.
Will post a few picks tomorrow night of the pieces that I find and have strapped down to new rubble rock
Water is fine and have been checking it more often since the issue started.
Even did a 20g water change when it started cracking and am mixing up the next batch as we speak.
The only thing I ever dose is a bit of trace elements and baking soda for alk.
Have had the same routine for the last...
I have a large leather that I have had for well over a year now. About a week or so ago it started to crack and tear like an old leather car seat left out in the sun for a few years.
Now it is starting to break apart into pieces....I have various size pieces that have fallen off in my tank at...
As long as the input plugs from the fixture match the output plugs from the ballast you should be fine.
Most ballasts are now a universal type fitting....no company wants to miss out on the replacement market and wants their ballast to be usable in as many applications as possible
Mine was easy to tell when it went.....the bulb wouldnt stay lit and sparked in the socket.
Mine looked like this when I took it out of the case. It was fried.
I own a 72" outer orbit unit with 3-150w halides and 8 39w t-5's and all the ballasts are mounted inside the fixture.
I swapped out...
I have 2 pairs of clowns in my 125 and I worry about having issues all the time.
I had the pair of false percs first and then added a pair of black saddles with their carpet.
The female blk saddle is very moody and if the false percs didnt host in a sizable colony of anthelia to where they...
I currently use these too.....very good colour bulb if you like a bluer look
I have used the 14k ushio and the 10k xm.....Xm was very yellow and the ushio wasnt blue enough for my wife.
We are very happy with the new icecap 20k bulbs
Hmmm blue is a bit tough.
I have a bit of blue in my tank...some stuff I have may get a bit too big for your setup though.
Blue tubs
You should be able to keep these
Powder blue tang....might be a bit too big for a 55 gal
Coral beauty....unless you already have an angelfish
Croeta...
Well I am a bit slow....mother in law is in for a 2 week visit so things are hectic at my house.
Here is how i set it up.....very simple and very easy to purge the air out of the lines.
All I do to get the air out is tilt one side near the bottom (90 elbow on it) up to the intake on the...
