In have 4 false percs and none ever hosted my frogspawn. I added a GBTA and the largest clown started hostng it afetr 2 or 3 months. So just give it time. The GBTA split a few times and no other clowns host the nems. Go figure. Could be a maturity thing.

I used one on my 55 and it worked fine. I just skimmed more on the wet side and be sure to keep it clean.

Yes, you will get some of the sand. I think it's a small price to pay as you can replece it slowly with new clean sand. I may just siphon out all the sand and go bare bottom.

Mine were at 40ppm and now about 25ppm. My 1/4 inch sand bed was just filthy; I siphon up the sand now during water changes. My cleanup crew is not doing a good job or just don't have enough.

I agree. I always add new fish at night. Can even try moving a piece of rock or adding something to the tank so its new. Then once setlled in remove it.
