Only an issue if you have sand - but like harlequin mentioned - you could set it on a controller. The new one 7096 is supposed to be released this month or next. Or you could cut the flow in half by using the old 6000 transformer (aka hockey puck).

how big is the tank? Are you pruning a lot of macro out of the refugium? Maybe try accelerating the growth of the macro to counter the growth of the cyano. Also i recall you had some clams to help in the fug - are those gone now or still working?
