Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
haha - or it can be the most stressful/annoying aspects. After countless numbers of crabs, whelks and mantis shrimp from the gulf-of-mexico, I am looking forward to getting some Dry LR to cure.
I agree with wendy. I'm glad you are enthusiastic - but I think your tank is not ready yet for corals.
As you are new to the hobby - I'd much rather see you in a Fish only tank for a few months or so before introducing any corals. As you intro corals - the costs for maintaining your tank will...
Generally speaking - there is no need for the blue bulbs - but a lot of people prefer to have them so that the tank has more of a "pop". That stated - I don't believe PCs are known to have good quality "blue" actinics.
One thing to realize though is that power compacts are an older technology...
your bi-color may be more aggressive and chasing the firefish. They both inhabit similar niches but perhaps if there is enough space/places to hide - the firefish are ok.
pseudos are a pit pugnacious though in general towards fish that are similar in size and shape (e.g. firefish).
can't...
My water parameters for my pc: ;)
windows 2000
Firefox 3.01
IE 6.0 (maybe the version is the culprit?)
Anyways - I get the same results as mynd and JR. It doesn't matter what you type in the google search - this link www.njreefers.org or...
sorry to hijack - but I am so green when it comes to understanding cars.
I went to get my oil changed and the mechanic suggested I change out the transmission fluid and the fuel injection. I had both of these items done about 13 months ago.
Since that time I've put on 6,000 miles on the car...
Why not just leave it as is and then a separate jpg file listing the vendor next to the number. It's not ideal but it's no different than what we get at the Mall.
needless to say - the dedication the officers have shown in getting macna truly is inspiring. Big kudos to phyl!
a gem tang will run you more money than a down payment on a car these days...assuming someone even has one to sell to your father.
How about picking up a book first on fish - like fenner's conscientious marine aquarist? Maybe they have one at your local library (or local fish store) to browse.
according to Fenner - it'll keep the eggs in the mouth for a week before hatching. Good luck - are you planning on moving him to QT to try and save the fry?
thanks for the update. My first meeting was at your place and the tank is beautiful - so is the workmanship on the tank stand/cabinet!
Congratulations on the 2 year mark. The tank is gorgeous.
I agree with poconofishy.
They are rather common in aquariums. No harm unless they populate the front glass of your display - then they kinda look ugly...and you've been lazy with the mag float ;)
On the snail - it's hard to tell. Try reading this - best reference I have found from Dr. Ron on...
link doesn't work.
sponges are filter feeders. Do not expose to air and be prepared to procure live phyto to feed it. I suppose the freeze dried dead phyto might work but i personally wouldn't bother.
I wouldn't try a sponge unless I felt confident in my husbandry for filter feeding corals.
