Jasonanatal's JBJ 28 gallon Nano Cube HQI Nano Reef Aquarium.

wild guess here - but if the cuke were annoyed "while you were out" and decided to eviscerate...it's possible all fish would be killed rather instantly - especially in a smaller volume tank like yours. Article on Cukes I hope that is not the case - but the only thing I can think of is perhaps...

What tank has a nice footprint?

OC II is located in North Plainfield on Route 22. They have a sticky I think in their forum with the exact address and phone #. You could also PM Brian (I forget his userid) and I'm sure he could direct you. All AGAs have two overflows. They are located as such:

What tank has a nice footprint?

I think he means to just go direct to the source (catalina) and buy it instead of via ebay. Also - just saw this post by Ocean Gallery II: Tank Sale That's a very good price on the AGA...albeit it is not as nice as the perfecto (with one corner overflow) or the oceanic tech series - but that...

    algae question.. please help

sorry - this may not answer your question - but unless you are partial to caulpera - I'd say dump it and get some chaeto. Everyone in this club has too much of the stuff. Honestly this club does so much for people - I don't know what I'd do if I didn't join it.

sorry to hear about your loss mike - that fish was gorgeous.

    removing fish from overflow

You may have to remove the durso pipes and then you'll have room to manuever to capture the clown. With eels - I've read using a pvc tube to get it in, and then pulling the whole tube out. I just don't know if something similar would work with a clown. If it was a maroon - I'd put a fake...

    Snails in South Carolina

Impossible to tell. The shell looks similar to a turbo but the opening is not circular - they have more rounded openings. I checked this Article by Dr. Ronbut I don't think any match your specimen. Ah - I may have found it...it appears to be some kind of periwinkle snail. Google that and...

    Snails in South Carolina

you'll need a picture - there are a lot of different species of snails/gastropods. If they are out of the water - then it may be that they are an "inter-tidal" species...the closest thing I can think of is a Nerite Snail.

    Native NJ Livestock

When Adventure Aquarium opened - (then called Camden Aquarium) they had the idea of only showing local (NJ) fauna. I went and unfortunately (as you noted) it was pretty dull (color-wise) and the variety was limited at best. Question though - wouldn't the waters in our area be cooler? So would...

    Trigger Safe Cleanup Crew??

Starfish are omnivorous - brittle stars are generally excellent scavengers - though they could always take a helping of something meaty if offered. The only fish-eater that I know of is the green kind - so if it's black - it is likely just a scavenger. In terms of cukes - you want one from the...

What tank has a nice footprint?

When we do the Premium Aquatics group buy (for members only) - there's a very good discount involved...you could ask on the group buy forum. I'm not sure if I can post it here on the public forum. actually - I was a big marine depot fan - mainly because of the free shipping and also I think...

What tank has a nice footprint?

This is glass cages....do a google search and see what kind of opinions people have of them. In this hobby - it is true you tend to "get what you pay for" - but when listing items for a 120 - one can go all out - or one can go ultra cheap - or one can find some kind of middle ground. On the...

    Trigger Safe Cleanup Crew??

what kind of brittle starfish? Is it the green kind? Ophiarachna incrassata is the only one to wary of. As for the trigger - you have to either kept it well fed and *maybe* it won't bother others...but I am unaware of any safe crews. They generally don't eat the magfloats though. ;) Seriously...

    My Oceanic Tech 120

Re: My Oceanic Tech 120 and a request for input. congratulations on the new tank! Ya know - I kinda kick myself a little bit for getting the AGA 120 from Wil last fall. I didn't even know (stupid me) that Oceanic made a 120 in their tech series. I'll just have to make do dealing with the dual...

What tank has a nice footprint?

I second the 120...that is what I went with from the 55. It "sounds" a lot bigger, but when you see it - you'll say to yourself - it's the same thing as the 55! ...and lengthwise you'd be correct - except it's twice as deep. So basically if you can find 48" for your 55 gallon tank in the new...
