JrHR - I and not sure how much the shrimp eats but I don't see a significant decline of the asterina population. Maybe I jus have too many and they all come of of the rock work after the shrimp is introduced.

I have a harlequin but I still have a lot of asterina after a month.

I remember you were doing carbon dosing. Did it yield any positive result? It is very common for a new setup to go thru many phases of algae blooms so maybe you can give the carbon dosing a little more time.

They are orange spotted filefish.

Very minor aggression from the female. They swam together for a little while then the male went to bed early, slept vertically by the overflow long before the light out. He must have a jet lag.

I have had some. Both aquarium care center and tropiquarium bring them in on a regular basis. If SPS grow well in your tank you should not have problem keeping wild ones. Color is a different story. As coral color is highly dependent on the lighting and water parameters. Some will just brown out...
