I too disagree on 2 pumps.The queit ones I think arent so queit.I have a 125 and use a mag pump(24) I love it.I dont see any issues with extra heat.good luck in yr choice..

IMO I used the sand you could buy at HD 6 yrs ago when I first started my 90 reef.I didnt see any bad things happen and eventually I had worms,pods and the like growing in it.
I have a friend that harvested some from me,the tangs we have (Naso,powder blue,clown and purple) picked at it but didnt eat it.Too bad cause it could of saved a buck or two :(
I agree with Bob on the check valves.Closed loop would be a nice option,or hide the powerheads behind rockwork..OR Melv had a setup with a mag pump you could check out..
Brandon, I would rec drilling the tank too,if you didnt want to do the glassholes.com thing you could make a "box" for the overflows with glass you could buy at hd or loews,which I did for my 125.Doing a sump would be optimum and Im sure you wouldnt be dissapointed in the long run of the...
Wanted to know if this is possible-I have a Kent Marine maxxima ro/deion 24 gpd which is prob'ly due for filter changes,my question is is it possible to change (the membrane) to a bigger one to make more gpd,or do I just buy a complete new unit.With the 125 gal this unit just isnt cutting it...
