I don't know about the bigger model, but I'm currently using the 3/4 variety and, while I really like it, I think it seriously impedes the system's flow. I have a 880 GPH pump on my closed loop setup for a 29g and I would REALLY like more flow. Tank definitely isn't living up to its 30x turnover...

That tank was right up there with the coolest thing I saw at the swap. Mr. Corals table tank was sweet too, but I've never seen so many of those lil bubbletips in one place!

Mine occasionally disappear into their mat for 2 or 3 days, but I've had great luck. I think my 'grass' is 2x the size it was when I got it a few months back: As far as my conditions, I don't really skim or dose, and I change 1/6 of the water every week.

I've heard some of these lil stars have a taste for zoos. Mine don't seem to bother them, but I know some people grab them off the glass and flush them on site due to their occasional eating habits.

Some people have all the luck. I threw a baby thompsoni tang in with a coral beauty one time and every fish in my tank ended up dying. Ha. A school of yellows would sure be purdy!

Re: MJ1200 heat When I mix water in my garage (55-60 degrees ambient temp) I use a MJ1200 in a 5g bucket with no heater. After 2 days the water is 78 degrees. Just FYI....

Girls died of cancer in late December. Poor lil Rottie... The new dog is an American Staffordshire Terrier. The other is our 2 yr old beagle/maltese mutt...er...mix. ;)

Loctite sure is expensive when compared with coralafix or the like, though. Those little bottles don't last very long.
