    Maybe take the bottom panels off and see if you can notice anything somkin a bit or getting to hot when you turn it on. Electrical stuff is somethin you want to fix especially when it's over water!

    Looks great but if your going with 1" Welded steel frame the angled pieces aren't necessary. Also you only need legs on each corner. Use 1x1 for the legs and a 1x3 piece for the rectangle on the top. The more room the better you'll be glad with the extra room later

    You should try the phoenix 14k they have a nice blue to them and good growth. I have a super actinic and a 454 bulb it's a nice combo for color

    Sides shouldn't be tempered. Check out glassholes.com for a side overflow. Real nice stuff

    Nice find steamer. Keep in mind these numbers are on paper. In the real world that 660 is prob more like 450-500. Especially cause you have air venting with the water this causes a loss so do elbows and the submerged drain in your sump.

    After the ballast is powered do they just take a while to come on or they don't at all?
