Just me but that is/was good skimmer so why blow your bucks on something that doesn't need replacing...when the pump goes then it goes IMHO. Sorry late response but hey mine is the cheapest one.:grin:

That is the question....I T'd my return through a TLF reactor to cut down on the overflow...helped the sound level too. That was after seeing Hawkeyes setup BTW, not some lightbulb going off in my head.

Mine is a custom made job so I want to say it is a good 3 inches...on the other side the skimmer is only about 18 inches tall and 10 inch wide body + pump hangs off side as it is recirculating.

The collection cup on mine has about a 2-3 inch rim that you have to lift it off so be careful how it is setup.

My suggestion is spend an extra 50-100 bucks and get a good quality skimmer so you don't drive yourself crazy with repairs/problems/junk. Catalina is a decent company, I have my lights from them, but don't know about the skimmer. They do have good customer service. I would suggest one of the...
