I had aquired some live rocks and Now I see some clumps of red bubbles growing on them.. I'm thinking is red bubble algae. Will this stuff spread quickly all over? Do emerald crabs eat this stuff? Thanks for the help

I have gotten a used tank and after wiping it down the silicone is old in front and I think It should reseal it before set it up. Read you have to scrap all silicone out and do whole tank over Dose anyone do this ? Is this a good idea , or should I try to use tank as is ? Thanks Jenn

Whats the deal with the medicine? I'm loking to get a used tank so If there was ever meds added into a tank ,filter , piping , ect and then the tank , filter , piping , ect was cleaned, and now you reset everything up. Will the old remains of the meds still hurt the corals in the new setup ?

Will this work ?... If I take the rock with hair algae growing all over it and put in a container with saltwater and a bubbler for movement and then keep the rock and container in the dark for some time Will this kill the algae on the rock and keep the rock alive?

5 peppermint shrimps went missing I added 4 new fairy wrasses and now I haven't seen my shrimps in days :( Fairies I got were said be reef safe Whip fin , exquisitite, laboutei , & lubbock Do you think they ate the shimps ?

Will a canister be able to bring the water down into the sump/refugium and then I'd have to plumb it and get a pump that would pump it back up to the tank. Any one ever do this ? Thinking it would be extra area for filer media instead of drilling the tank Please let me know your thoughts...

I have two cleaner shrimps seen what looks like eggs ( little black balls ) in both there bellies I'm guessing there both girls now Do they morph into male and female , or do I need to find a male for them to hatch there eggs How can i tell a male from female? Thanks Jenn

I have a coral life RO unit now . Works good but very slow. Makes 5 gallons of water in 9 hours. This takes forever. It's is on to keep up. Is there a unit that make water faster ? Your help is appreciated Thanks Jenn

I see little white Bugs with a blackish strip down back running in and out of the nooks on one of my rocks. Do i want theses bugs in my tank ?

I see these pinkish worm like feelers comeing out of this one rock in about 6 different places... I looked up pictures , Im thinking it's a spegetti worm . Should I remove this rock from the tank to remove this worm ?
