Hey all, been busy fixing up a new house and admiring my dry 120 in the basement. Well, I currently keep poison arrow frogs and have been upgrading their enclosure. Used silicone 1 for back wall scape (4 tubes) and still smell ammonia off gas 1.5 weeks later. How long does this cure/off gas...
I have been watching some of my sps start to battle. Seems like both sides create a plaque to try and grow out and over the opponent. Have not seen any grafting which would be cool.
Still toying with the idea. Dosing 170 ml each of 2 part a day is only going to grow to more. Any thoughts from those that have one as to which would be best for a 158 gal system. Looking for least touchy and or problematic.
I've seen so many sites saying LEDs grow macro really well. They sell some light with a$ range of 30+ and up. I have been growing macro from the start, tried both and love my compact cfl from lowes. I'm using the daylight color so 6500k. Works great and a 3 pack runs less than some led bulb. So...
Title says it. Anyone do it? A friend introduced me to it and I found it to be quite fun. Wife is getting me a good handheld gps for the holidays. Sorry people, no reef stuff.

Well the family and I are at Cape May for a week. Quite lovely here, my two girls have their own personal mule (me) pulling a stylish wagon with every possible need strapped to my back. Now that I think about it, I'm not a mule so much as a Sherpa.
The beach has some amazing macro algae...
Well I am taking down the 55 I have upstairs. . Some coral colonies will make it to the 120, others will be frags. So fellow reefers I will be available at my house on June 14th. You can come and pick up frags of corals I have for free as I cut them down. This is a great opportunity for reefers...
So with the warming weather my main pond which is 4 ft deep is now fully de-iced. The water us crystal clear and yo my dismay all my koi are gone! Big dead, no remnants, nothing ...I mean not a trace! These guys were 6 yrs old and well schooled in survival. I keep an aerator go allow gas...
So with my new build I have 2 mp40 pumps to use on it. Got them set up and they are loud! Now I know form my mp10s I need to adjust to find a sweet spot. Yes, I found the same applies to the 40s but when I rev up past 50% the vibrational hum is unacceptable. I see the wet side disassembles for...
What epoxy from lowes or HD is underwater safe. I'm thinking some two part, play doh like stuff that cures under water or air. Looking to shim, support some new rock work.

Up for grabs Is a huge ziplock bag of spent BRS resin for your Ro/di unit. Guessing 8lbs or so....wet. Paul not sure of you reclaim this. I vaguely remember you do. Great to recharge for use again.
Title says it all, this goes out to Paul, which GE product is ok? If it has 100 % silicone and no mold inhibitors then good. Would like to work on my sump this eve and I'm out of time to drive to the local LFS.
Thought I would post this from reef 2 reef. New research project regarding afew.

Does anyone know where I might be able to find an overflow cover for a corner overflow in a 120? I have seed the d shaped ones, but not a corner one. With the new build I want the macro to do the growth, not the nuisance algae in the lit up overflow that needs weekly harvesting to prevent a clog.
