The reason why i was asking was because the light on the fuge cats into the tank as well. I see the fish swimming around when normally they are out for the night. I didn't know if this screws them up.
Ken
Actually the new CPR fuge comes now with the side facing the tank having black acrylic. I also thought about having the lights on at night but then figured 24 hrs might be more effective. PH isn't a problem in my tank.
Ken
made room, set it up, ans put in the cheato yesterday. How long do I leave the lights on though.... 12 hours, 24 hours/day? I left in on all day and night yesterday. Since the tank since this sits on the back rim of the tank lights does shine into the tank somewhat. Will this amount of light...
I got the large size refugium. I pruned some of my corals and I can get it to fit on the back of the tank. How much cheato do I put in it? Also do I leave the valve on the output of the powerhead all the way open or not?
Thanks,
Ken
I would also check the floor. I had one commit suicide. The most accommodating fish I have ever had. I tried to to get it out with a fish trap for a week with no luck. A couple days later I found it on the floor. I guess he did not want to be here with no love.
Ken
I wasn't going to get the one with the skimmer. I am going to get the large one and make it work.
By the way, after I blow off the cyno on the rocks, what happens to what I don't get out of the tank? Will it land and flourish there, or dye off?
Ken
Leave it alone. The Ph is fine. By the way i assume you know that the Ph will fluctuate from morning to night. It will rise during the photoperiod.
Ken
Thanks guys. I am going to blow off the rocks this week when I do my water change and then decide on the fuge. I did think about putting on the sump too. I have to look and see if it will fit or not. The sump is 30" long so that won't be a problem. It wont be able to sit flush againest the back...
I'm not sure what's going to work. I want to get the CPR HOB. I know the lengths of them but the problem is going to be the two pipes going into thr tank. Also I just found out that the powerhead goes into the tank as well. I have almost no room. I have a Tunze powerhead, then a monte cap that...
Ah, very good. You do know your s**t. I thought the very same thing with regards to the coral growth. I did change out those two Tunze's for the new ones. I also as an experiment took a 6055 and put it about 6" from the bottom of the tank aiming across the tank left to right. It didn't change my...
Thanks for the replies. I was curious why you suggested 2 medium size instead of one large?
The one with the skimmer would be a waste for me. I have an H&S which I am very happy with.
I thought I would try a refugium as this SPS tank is going on three years and everything is fine except that...
I was thinking of adding a refugium to my 90 gallon tank. I don't have room below or around so was thinking of one of the HOB types. Are these any good and is there a certain size and brand that can be recommended?
Thanks,
Ken
