You don't have to worry about a tad bit of vinegar getting into things. Won't hurt anything. Actually some people mix it with their Kalk to get more in the solution.
How come you aren't filling with RO/DI again?

Matt this doesn't sound surprising to me at all. I'll see if I can explain what's going on a bit and give you some ideas.
You already know you need to get the alkalinity level up so work on that. Try and only raise this about 1 dKH per day and not any faster then that.
I really don't doubt the...
I'm in the process of getting everything ready for the Frag Swap that I plan to bring to sell. I won't be bring everything so if you want anything from ReefComplete.com you can pre-order it and I'll bring it on Saturday (no shipping charges obviously).
You can/should order directly on the site...
The problem is the "type" of alk supplement you are dosing. You are using the original B-ionic which is Sodium carbonate based. They also have a newer version that is only 1/4 the strength but is Sodium bicarbonate based. It ends up costing you more to use but you won't have the pH problems...
That particular ozone generator (nor any hobby one) doesn't have enough output to hurt people living in the house.
I actually use my spare 1000mg ozone generator directly in my office/tank room going full blast all the time since I smoke in the house. It takes a very strong dose to hurt people...
You could also make a swamp cooler. They work pretty well also. Deltec makes an outrageously priced one.

Only problem with them is that we live in a bad area for them. They work less then stellar in high humidity environments and face it that...
I hate to be the bringer of bad news but the ozone generator isn't going to help with ich.
You really have little choice but to pull the fish (only the fish) and keep them out of the tank for 6 to 8 weeks (fallow) so the parasites in the tank die off. While the fish are out of the tank you can...
Higher alkalinity is definately needed. Personaly preference but I don't like dKH levels higher then 8.5 and normally try and keep them right between 7 & 8.5 with very little daily swing. IMHO, many corals don't like the swing or alk levels higher then this range.

The salt and Open Seas is from ReefComplete.com.
If you want anything from the site and are planning on attending the frag swap I can bring it then to save on shipping.

I myself prefer the sulfur denitrator over water changes for the purpose of lowering nitrates and think its healthier for the tank too instead of having nitrates bouncing around between the water changes.
Carlo
Yea I'm with mladencovic on my view of both. I generally try and glue them to small rocks instead. Given the choice I'd go with concrete one too.
When you buy them typically they are still high in pH (concrete has a high pH) so what I generally recommend is to throw them in the back of your...
Media:
Zeolites (Zeovit & Ultralith) for the most part are used to remove ammonium from the water. The idea is to remove the ammonia so it doesn't get a chance to break down into nitrites and then nitrates.
PolyLabs & Prodibio don't use any type of media to remove anything and concentrate more...
In all fairness to most low nutrient systems (not sure I'd call Blu Coral this) it can take 6 months to really get things rolling and notice a substantial change. This isn't a fault of the "method" per say, it's just that it takes time for things to change and for your corals to adapt.
For...
Blu is decent and much cheaper to implement then some of the others since it's really just running high levels of the main ions in the tank (calcium, alkalinity, magnesium, strontium, etc) but using home made food that's mixed with sugar (Pappone). The food mixture is actually pretty good but...
My buddy had tri. & max. clams on the sand bed in his RSM for months as he had no room on the rocks for them. They were fine.
I've got a large sunset monti and a few sticks (acros) in my kids JBL 24g and they are doing just fine too. Some of the sticks are down low too.
It's a personal thing...
I got a buddy a couple of blocks away that has the Red Sea. If Bordentown is close let me know and I'll see what I can do.
These are my opinion only. You can disagree if you like. :)
The lights that come with the RedSea or JBL nano cubes are just fine for growing anything including acros &...
