Adding an emerald crab ( or 2) to a 13 gal, would look like adding Godzilla- and would it would probably start eating my zoas after a day or 2- pods, I got plenty of amphipods along with hermits and snails- will wait and see

One thing you could try is to buy a few gallons of water from a LFS and see if the same thing happens-

Did you run the new Rodi unit for a while- I think I read that you should do it to clear it out- have you checked for TDS?

My first thought was maybe iron in your water- but wouldn't the RODI filter that out? Check TDS- maybe it's the heater you got from me lol

I looked into doing an overflow with a sump- way too expensive for me right now. I can always pull the in-tank sumps- the silicone doesn't really stick to acrylic- I'm going with 2 Relassy 165w led's and a Kessil A350W Tuna blue for lights

I started a thread about my 'dream tank', but things have changed a bit since then, so I figured I'd start all over. I bought a new 75g a while ago and it sat on a bench for months for a number of reasons- one was trying to figure out how/ what dimensions for building the stand- @reefsandrotts...

I bit the bullet today and started treating the 29g cube- the algae was just out of control- the 13 is the only tank with bubble algae that I can see- watched brs video on Vibrant- not a chemical solution, but an organic one-took a pic- we'll see

I got most of my info from FB groups when I got back in- so much misinformation- and judgements ( none here )- you are already being offered free stuff- What a great group! yeah @Yates273 !
