Looks great graz. What are you going to do for substrate, BB, DSB, etc.? I'm a proponent of a DSB, but given the size of your tank and the VorTech, it might be better to go BB in the DT and add a DSB to the fuge.
I'm still using the BRS reactor with the bio pellet insert, and noticed over the last few weeks that the pellets weren't tumbling as much. I found a leak in the coupling that connects the PH to the 1/2" tubing, and replaced it, it seemed to work better for a while. Over the last few days the...
I didn't buy mine from Feng, but have two of these on my tank, and would say that one for every two feet of tank length would be more than enough. They are a very vanilla fixture with no dimming feature. You can however control the blue/white on/off with a controller or timer. The fans do run...
I add about 2 to 3 heaping tsp. to a 2 gal. jug and shake it up and use it the next day. The only time I'm using my ATO, is if I'm not going to be around, and I just fill a 5 gal. bucket with the solution I'm making from the 2 gal jug. I wasn't able to find Mrs. Wages at any store either, that's...
I have to order it from Ace Hardware. It will contain 6 one pound bags.

I've been running the pellets for about 3 months now and my feeding regiment hasn't changed. I have a mixed reef with Zoa's, Paly's, Ric's, LPS and SPS with good growth and PE. Also, fish, clams and shrimp all thriving.
PS The biopellets will help with your nutrient problem, and that will help...
Do you have a TDS meter to check the quality of your RO/DI water? I would get your GFO reactor up an running. Get a PO4 test kit, preferably a Hanna colorimeter. If it's Dino's I'd also get a GAC reactor on line too. I don't know where your from, but I'd bet there is some local reefer who would...
Are you using RO/DI water? Have you checked for PO4? What kind of test kits are you using? Do you have a fuge with any kind of macro algae? Are you using any GFO? These problems aren't really an "algae" problem, as much as they are a "nutrient" problem, so they must be getting something to feed...
If you have a limited amount of space under your tank, in your cabinet, you should stick to a skimmer that will operate in about 10" of water depth. If you get something that has to be in 6 or 7 inches, then you can build a platform for it, but you will be taking up the that amount of head...
The only plumbing I have is flexible tube. When I remove the pump for cleaning, I just cut off the tube right at the barbed fitting and either reattach it or replace the tube. Two or three feet of tubing isn't that expensive, and I always have a few feet on hand. I also don't use any kind of...
