I've got two on a 180 (72 x 24 x 24), but did get an AI Sol (Xmas gift) to supplement between them. Three of these would be better. If you're coming to the meeting, you can see them first hand.

As long as you don't have/get SPS you should be good. They feed on filamentous algae, cyanobacteria, diatoms and even hydroids. Unfortunately, in the SPS aquarium, they will also feed on the tissue of SPS corals.
I just had to take my BRS reactor apart for another reason, but I didn't notice any "snotties". I don't think there is anything to worry about, but I'd knock them off just to ensure full flow through the reactor.
