    You would know your critters best, so if you see something that doesn't look "normal", the first thing I think of is the water param's. Have you checked them lately? What test kits are you using?

    Are you using any type of water conditioners, i.e. Kordon Amquel? Or, red slime remover? Or, red slime remover. Or, Coral Sea salt mix?

    Every community must do an annual water quality report, and is public information. If you google it you should be able to see what they're using in your water.

    Make sure they're not using cloramines instead of chlorine in your water, if so, you should be getting a chloramine specific filter. Check with the MUA.
