I have a small rock beauty angelfish in the tank so I have to feed a little more to have some food left. However overall very peaceful tank. Tried frozen blackworms no luck. Will give the acro skeleton technique a try. It is skinny but seems to be in good health. Pretty active fish. Swims all...
I was surprised to see an orange-spotted filefish at ACC and took it home after seeing it eating at the store. I have read about this fish for a while and always wanted to try it. After drip acclamated for 2 hours it went into the tank. It immediately went to the few acros I had in the tank and...
I figure since it's earth day I might as well post some of the stuff I accumulated to see if anyone can use them. If you're interested and want to know the details just ask.
Fish food - all the food are still fresh. I throw out the old food. Have a bag of 33% spirulina flakes, great for fish...
I have used chemiclean twice as a reset and both times had very good results. Your take will look cleaner than ever. I had cyano when I moved tank and made some big changes. You should not have the problem once your tank is mature and balanced.
I feed frozen blackworms as their main diet. Then I supplement tangs with some nori. I also feed other frozen food occasionally. I have a bunch of different things in the freezer.
Thinking about getting a Maxima Clam. Would welcome some advice on where to get one around this area for the best chance of survival too. Also anyone have experience with the aquacultured clams from LiveAquaria?
Thanks,
Joe
When I was out I try to keep the task minimum for a non fish person. So I ask them to feed only one cube of frozen food. My filter sock overflows but that's ok. I also run the skimmer dry to minimize overflowing. Mnat suggested ip cam. I have one I bought from Amazon for $40 and it's great to...
I HAD one 2 years ago and I lost it. Although it was sold to me as Ice and Fire it most likely was a maricultured piece. Not from reefarmers. And these things can have different color intensity under different conditions. So I might very well buy a maricultured one if I see one that looks good.
I have the medium sized model (BP 110) and it never clogged. I have not touched it for 6 months. If it's clogged you will see the pellets tumbling slower I guess. I used to connect the output of the BP reactor to the intake of the skimmer. I don't do that anymore and it makes no difference...
