IMO you Alk is solid where it is. If you raise you cal now that will drop. Do the mag first then cal. The calculator on BRS will tell you how much you can add at once.

What are you looking to treat with interceptor. The only use for that in our tanks would be red bugs. At least in my experience.

Give it time. It will get used to it. Mine did the same thing in the beginning. You could try the rock trick too. I've also seen where people tie a piece of PVC pipe to fishing line and let it hang free in the tank with a piece of nori.

McMaster Carr had black acrylic

I got my baffles for my sump at glass castle in Lawrenceville. They said tinted would be very expensive. Solid black even more so.
