Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
There's an allowance on questions? But I'm going to have a million! :o
Thanks for the reply lunatic. That answers a lot. At least enough to get me started (if I find the time). Once I give it a go, I'm sure I'll have more questions.
Just to clarify one I already asked though...
So I can...
Yea, I didn't even mention you might not have access during the summer. It was in my head, just never made it to the post, LOL.
Anyway, my intention was to try to get you to think about all the obstacles that you might not have considered because if you can't, it will be difficult or...
That last video really showed me some finer details on how this thing works and I have to admit I'm even more impressed with it now too. Here are some of my observations after watching it:
- The display with the balls in it didn't have any rock work or sand bed to give a true "real world"...
Awesome gesture Mark!
As to the OP and his plan, I think it's a good idea and can be done successfully. But I agree with Mike (mnat) that you should keep it simple and only use hardy, more tolerant fish and corals.
From our past experience with installing a tank in a classroom, there are a...
I've been wanting to do this with mine for a while now. I just never got around to it because I wasn't sure about a few things:
1. What do you use as your base "white surface"? Piece of copy paper? Piece of white plastic? There are different shades of white, so finding the right item is key...
Kyle,
My bro-in-law repairs laptops for a living. I'll forward this info in an email to him and see if he can help you out. I know he is always looking for side work and doesn't charge a lot either.
I'll get back to you.
Oh, I see now. I thought it might have been to make it float, but then I saw the pump attached to the body and thought there's no way those little things will make that float!
Now with the other pics, I see that the top section is separate and only that part floats. Pretty cool idea!
Another 10 minutes of entertainment from Paul B!
Sorry, but my curiosity got the best of me... what's the purpose of the little helicopter looking thing on the top of surface skimmer (made out of film canisters and a piece of acrylic?)
Matt, we still have 2 openings for guest speakers for our Frag Swap / Conference on September 27th. Any interest in filling a spot?
I'm sure we would have a ton of interest in these Lightning Clowns and to hear more about the breeding practices, etc. that are currently in the industry.
Yea, I'm waiting on a creative bio from Mike for the official meeting.
In the meantime, I thought I would give the Meet & Greet a little extra exposure uuntil we put up Mikes meeting info on the home page.
Should I add a note on there to "stay tuned" for the official meeting details?
Well, obviously I need to take some notes or something because I totally forgot to do this (again)!
Ari provided us with over 60 great photos and it would take me quite a while to post them all here. So, instead of doing that, I'm just going to give you all a link to where they are all stored...
Unfortunately that may be the case here.
Mark sent me a PM requesting to close his build thread (I thought he was just starting a new one).
When I replied it was done he said thanks, he was leaving the club and just wanted to tidy up here before he left.
I wasn't sure why he said that at...
I was actually just going to make a post asking about this month's meeting. You must have read my mind Mike!
Let me know when you conjure up a new bio and I'll put up the RSVP page.
