If the chipping is on the outside, it's no problem at all. If it's on the inside, there may be some leakage past the gasket. Using silicone between the gasket and glass (as John suggested) might work if it's not too bad.
If it is on the inside, put the gasket on the hole (without the...
The July 2014 Meeting will be held at the home of MatteZ (Matt). Here are the details...
When: July 19th 1pm-5pm
Where: 523 Cinnaminson St Riverton NJ 08077

Cool, I'll show that to my bro-in-law. He's sort of a nature photography buff / bug guru. Here are some links to some of his work:

Paul, I stopped by Matt's last night and it seems you are correct... the kitchen is the next project on the list. :(
I saw his handy work in person though and it looked fantastic so I can understand why she would want him to do more stuff!
Bob, I can't make the meeting this weekend (it's my wedding anniversary) but I have a bunch of pull tabs for you. If anyone down south is going to the meeting, please let me know so I can get them to you. They are in a small plastic "pint" size container so won't take up much space.
Yes, definitely check the salinity first, but it should be OK.
You may also want to check pH first and make sure it's not way out of whack with what your tank is.
Good idea Matt. I would suggest rinsing the strainer in clean fresh water after every use, and drying well. It's SS, but can still rust with prolonged exposure to saltwater.
I suggest you read this article thoroughly. It should have all the answers you seek. Make sure you continue on to Part II when you get to the bottom.

And, while you're at it, you may also want to check this one out on Refractometers and...
Looks like a nice pump. Wish I had a tank big enough for something like that too.
Actually, I wish I had a tank big enough to put something like this to use...
That's my cousin/boss standing between the pumps we installed down in Cape May, NJ. They are designed for wastewater (sewage), but...
I saw this thread last night and noticed the same thing when I got my Canon Rebel T2i DSLR out to experiment. My ISO options were AUTO, 100, 200, etc. There was no 0 ISO option.
While I was messing around with the settings though, I did look into the WB bracketing that NJ Lunatic was talking...
Sweet, another 120 peninsula build! If I ever get done with my stand, I'll get mine up too and we can compare notes and ideas Tom!
Looking forward to hearing about your plans for this one.
Now that's the kind of tips I'm looking for!
When you take the sample shot, do you zoom in on only the white lid? Or, do you just edit the pic afterwards and crop out all but the lid? The goal is to get just the "white" object all by itself, correct?
Haha, nice one James. :)
Lunatic, yea I've played with all the presets and none of them worked well for my tank. I think they are geared more towards outdoors shooting. That's why I was interested in the custom wb procedure.
