    Happy birthday TanksNstuff

Thanks again to everyone else. Much appreciated! :)

    Happy birthday TanksNstuff

Thanks everyone. I spent the first half of my day on tank maintenance and a bit on my stand for my upgrade. Then spent the evening with family and friends... all you can eat snow crabs (YUMmm!) then went home for ice cream cake. Doesn't get much better than that. ;)

2014 Frag Swap Registrations are now Live!

Praveen, I don't think we will able to get each person's name on their shirt. That will both add extra cost and will also cause problems if you find out you need a different size than what you ordered. Jonjon, you are more than welcome to keep the lanyard/ID badge from the Swap and use it as a...

Great Adventure Walk for Ronald McDonald House Sunday June 8, 2014

My pleasure Ed. Wish I could have been there for the walk instead of just a donation. Hope you all have a great weather and lots of fun!

    Tank is heating up

Cool idea, but I'd be careful doing that. Refrigerators sometimes have coils throughout the side walls insulation. Drilling through that could kill the fridge! :o

Happy Birthday Ed. Hope you had a good one!

    Lighting gels

Nice Mike! Those things really do work, huh? Do you know if they sell them for DSLR cameras too, like say for a Canon standard 18-55mm lens?

    AriMiko's 300DD Upgrade

I would agree with Paul. All looks clean and organized, but the metal clamps will be a rust issue in a year or so. Another thing I was thinking about was the extra valve you put in for removing water. I was trying to follow your flow path from the return pump and I was thinking it might have...

    Toms 75

Tanks looking really nice Tom! I was watching the vid you posted though and noticed some things that I thought I should mention... The biopellet reactor looks like it will get a lot of light when the sump/fuge light is on. From what I've read about them, it's best to keep them in the dark to...

    Tank is heating up

Last summer my A/C went out and I put a bunch of ice pak's in a zip lock and threw them in the return section of the sump. That worked pretty good. I like the idea of freezing water bottles though. I think if you froze a few unopened bottles of spring water and put them in when needed, that...

The 55 is going bye bye.

Just wanted to say great job for doing this Pete. It's members like you that give this club such a great name! FYI though, June 14th is going to be the club meeting down in Swedesboro at Tony & Terri's house. If anyone from the south is available to go to Pete's that day, you might rather go...

Cool, thanks Matt. I'll send it tomorrow.

    TanksNStuff's 75G to 120G Upgrade

Thanks for the compliments and suggestions gang. I think I may go for the black plexiglass to cover the overflow. And I like the suggestion to cover the overflow to prevent jumpers and algae too. I can just oversize the black plexi piece and then cut it to do both jobs.

    TanksNStuff's 75G to 120G Upgrade

Also note that the back will be up against a half wall. That's why the bottom section is just finished white. I saved money that way with less oak. From the back, all you will see is from the tank up. I'm debating on whether I'm going to paint or cover the glass for the overflow chamber...

    TanksNStuff's 75G to 120G Upgrade

Well, it's been a while since my last update. Family life and weather have limited my work on it, but I'm getting there! I got the last coat of sealer on all my oak trim so it was time to start dressing the furniture. Here are a few cell phone pics of my progress: Full front shot... Right...

Thanks Darren and Kami for May Meeting

Ari, Darren sent me the link to all the pics you took. I've been busy since then but I should be able to put them up here tonight. I'll give you the credit for the photography too. ;)

Classklown's 14g Sps AND zoa paradise

At least you got to hold onto some really nice pieces Kyle. When you get a chance to upgrade again, you'll be starting out with some beauties!

That was awesome! Nice find James.

Why sometimes I can see "Deal and Steals" sometimes not?

Joe, your membership renewal was paid at a time when we were changing over the BOD staffs and there may have been a mixup with recording your status from the old guard to the new. At the time I'm posting this, your account is listed as "registered user". However, I have old officer emails...
