Restricting the flow on a mag 18 will cause a lot of noise. Just remove the ball valve and let it flow freely, the noise should reduce. Once you know that is the case, try a smaller pump with unrestricted flow.

I have noticed lately that a few of my SPS corals slime a lot whenever I does calcium and/or alkalinty buffer (Bionic 2 part). This is like a stringy white color slime. Is this a bad thing? Thoughts?
