    Bob's Reef

My fiancé has been asking for a yellow tang, but I've been resisting since I already have a purple and a hippo. I think I may have mollified her, as I recently intro'd a one-spot foxface. I think she'll like the yellow, he's always out and about, and he absolutely holds his own against the tangs...

    Avast marine Ato kit

It also makes worse water when you start and stop. I have my controller turn on a solenoid to refill my RO tank, about 20 gallons at a time (2 float switches), because when you first start, the first few cupfuls of water can have a slightly elevated TDS. Though to be fair, on my old tank I...

    Biopellets & UV

I don't run UV, but my neighbor does with his biopellets. He tested religiously during start up, and his nitrates and phosphates went way down (nitrate went from 40 down to 5), so I'd say the uv didn't impact the efficacy of the pellets. I can't see that UV does much at all in my anecdotal...

    Looking for return pump

In my old tank I had an external pump with the intake routed over the side of the tank. That works fine, you just need to plumb in a mechanism to allow you to prime the pump the first time. After that it stays primed, even on power fail.

Brand new fish store in northern NJ! Sea Level Aquarium, coming soon!

Ok. He mentioned it to me, I didn't ask him. He asked if I was the one who dropped off the pamphlets. So it sounded like maybe they feel settled now.

Brand new fish store in northern NJ! Sea Level Aquarium, coming soon!

They had NJReefers pamphlets on their counter. Not sure which of the owners it was, but he said he wanted to get in touch with us about sponsorship. Who would handle reaching out to them?

    Burnin' love

Yeah, kind of a silly rule for POTM, could lower the overall quality of shots posted to the site, since you gotta hang on to the good ones. I'm sure there is some logic for it, it's different from other clubs so I don't know what it is.

    Looking for return pump

I'm assuming you want internal for space considerations, but be aware that a pump that can push that hard is likely to put out considerable heat. I have a external Reeflo, and that gets warm enough you wouldn't want to rest your hand on it too long... I'd need a chiller if all that heat was...

68 CREE LED 3 mean well 60-48p driver parallel build

Yeah, 60 is a tight beam. I use 90s, fixture is 12" above my 31" tank, and that gives me >150 par on the sand, as far off axis from the lights as possible. You might be happier without optics, my rig puts out >1000 par in spots, so I cook things if I'm not careful.
