Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
We got our mystery wrasse from them. He held him for nearly 2 weeks for me while I waited to surprise John for his birthday. It was such great service. I don't know of another LFS who would have held a fish on nothing more than a PM for so long.
Matt, you definitely should have introduced...
We had one of those eunicide worms in our 120 when we first got the rock from LiveRocks.com out of Florida (at the time competition to TBS, since defunct, if I'm not mistaken). It was "only" about 14" but enough to give me the heebie jeebies anyway.
I'd start by dosing their food heavily with garlic as subliminal suggested. Most of our tanks have ich present in them, with the fish healthy enough to prevent an outbreak (proper slime coat, etc). Considering that every coral, rock, snail, EVERYTHING you put in your tank would have to be...
The tank looks great! The view of the plumber? Not so much! LOL! Is the tank Starphire? What made you decide to upgrade from the 180 to a 210? What lights are you running over it? What else do you plan on keeping?
Grow'em big, Bob! I can't wait to watch as it progresses. I'm sure it will be beautiful.
And we were happy to be part of the rebuilding process, especially with as generous as you were to the club when you tore the tank down last time. Good luck with it!
Soak and shake in properly salted, heavily dosed water. When you're done shaking, shake some more. Get as many out as possible before dosing the tank. Then you don't have to worry about the die off and you can leave your tank soaking in the FWE without worry.
I wouldn't bother with a water...
I think the maroon that we have is old enough that it is probably a she and likely would not be very tolerant to your existing clown. Not sure who'd win, but I doubt that they'd be happy together! Sorry.
Jose, I'll plan to bring the angel to the meeting for you?
That's a rose bubble tip anemone. I would hold off on that if your tank is under 6mo. Nice red/orages can be had with monti caps, lobos, and digi. Those are all very easy to care for and would bring in the color you're looking for (but not the flowing part). If you're looking for something soft...
Hmmm... Thought for sure you'd have pics of the excuses up here in this thread. Looking to see how the new frag is growing too! Welcome back.
Swap planning is definitely in full force. 37 people and counting on the attendee list, and our first vendor signed up today. Thanks for your help with that!
Interceptor has the chemical component to fight a parasite (red bugs, which are actually yellow with a red head) that infests and irritates Acropora corals (generally the non-fuzzy types like nana).
Mike, Thanks for the offer. We do need to make sure that we give at least a year between hosting meetings as there are MANY people in Central clamoring for a meeting (unless we're looking for a host). We'll definitely keep you in mind though, should we need a host and not be able to find one.
