TDS is usually whole number (0-300 or so). 0.6 doesn't seem right to me. On the grand scheme of things .6 would be close enough to zero not to worry about. If it was 10-20 you might be concerned.

Absolutely NOT!!! The front lens element is open to the elements so that you can get a clear picture. There is a drawstring around the lens front to cinch it closed tight around the barrel. You would not want to put this in water.
