Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Not really, Wendy. The same principals apply regardless. That Oly would probably take nearly as good pictures of the things in your tank.
A couple of things you can do to improve your odds:
1) Know the working distance of the lens you're using (don't try to take pictures less than 6" from...
Oh booo hisss. Sorry to hear that they're going to swipe the tank. I'd go with the repair option with the caviat that if the scratch is detectible by the end of the process you get a new tank. If you can see it you'll NEVER be happy, even if the rest of us can't find it with a road map.
We've tried FW before and failed miserably. It was about a year ago. Couldn't keep GUPPIES alive, lol. Now there's 1 betta in there (killed the first one). If we lose this one we're going to go SW with hers too!
I have an MRC (external skimmer) and love it. They even helped me upgrade my Ca reactor without taking a loss on it when we went from the 120 to the 180. Good people.
The button only says "Register" if you haven't yet. Once registered it changes to "Update" and "Cancel". Every day we get at least one sign up, so it's moving along... just very slowly!
:o
That would be one monsterously big Kalk reactor! While I prefer a clear container so that I know how much kalk is left in the container, I think it would make for an easy DIY project. I could see tapping the top for JG fittings for the water in/out feeds and the sides for the stirrer...
John made it look easier than it seemed, Mike! Cut if off just outside of the wall and replaced the gammut. It went well. Then I snapped the saddle screwing it together. AND THEN... the drain for one of the sinks is leaking at the sink. We're going to need to take the sink parts off and replace...
Anyone know where we can get a saddle locally to tie the waste water into the drain pipe? Ours had a catestrophic failure and is now in several more pieces than it should be. Need a new one to cover the cute little hole now drilled in my kitchen drain. *sigh*
Mike, the good news is that...
