The anthias are in my QT and will stay there for about 4-6 weeks I'll try and take pics soon. I have 2 fire shrimp and they basically hang in the crevices and caves until food is introduced into the tank and then they bolt out scavenging for food

I had mexican turbo's that took care of my hair algae problem in my old tank. Hopefully if i have the same issue in my new tank they will take care of it again

I actually stopped in AO today and picked up 1 male lyretail anthias and 2 female lyretails all MAC certified. They're being acclimated and will reside in my backup tank for 4-6 weeks and then into my display. I'm still going to be adding the bimacs though. I think the males are awesome colored...
The fish in the pics were one's i already had, they are not new and I QT all new fish that i get, just my preference. My wish list is below and i will be adding to it as my tank will evolve.

Well my fish went into their new home on Saturday and all is well. Below are some quick pics that i took. both my batteries were dead or i would have taken better pics. As soon as they are charged i'll post some better pics.

I think if you use a 2 island design it should be fine, but if your going to have rock all across the tank then i would probably do 3 250MH's instead. it will give you more even coverage. But more importantly it would all depend on the type of coral you are planning on keeping

your better off using 2 heaters as apposed to one just incase one fails the other will keep working. But if you only have one and it fails you SOL. good luck

Wow, ok i learned something new today about using bleach and live rock. I still wouldn't do it IMO but hey if it been proven to work with no ill effects then who am i to buck progress.

Curing rock isn't exactly complicated. I know everyone has their own way of doing things but the generally accepted method is as follows -- First, pull off as much organic matter as you can along with any soft spots, but in the case of marco rock it's dry so no need to pull off any deacying...
