Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Yea, the C2C tank that we put in at Adventure Aquarium was well made. I've heard nothing but good things about them, so that's a good choice on manufacturer.
Can't wait to see this build progress. Congratz Matt!
OK,I understand now Paul. From what I understand, those icons change whenever you visit a new website. It used to show the pages you visit the most, but I think they changed it to the most recent instead. You also used to be able to change the order of them by dragging and dropping them, but...
Those are pretty much the reasons Ken started using this method for his nurseries down in the Keys. I think it would be very interesting and helpful if you (or anyone) tried this and documented it... so if you do, please start your own thread about it so it doesn't get lost here.
PS, the wife...
A valid point Pete. I guess that's possible.
I would still say to fix it now (in case that's not the issue) and then check it for level again when it starts getting warmer.
I first read this thread on my phone so the pics were small and I wasn't sure if that was next to the tank or not.
In that case, I would agree with your plan of action Paul.
Can you jack the top of the wall near the ceiling to make it "look" like the tank is straight? :p
Seriously though Paul, I would try jacking up the beam to see if it corrects it. If so, maybe consider adding a post under it to keep it from dropping again.
Also, did you put the level on...
Olivier, we missed you there too. I was really hoping to see you since it's been so long!
If you ever down near Ken in Florida, I'm sure he'd be happy to let you visit. He's a really great guy and welcomes any conversations about his cause. And if you tell him you are with NJRC, he'll be...
James, Mike had to leave the party early and I forgot to give him the brochures to take up north. I have a ton of them for NJRC, but Ken only gave me maybe 30 or so for Coral Restoration Foundation. Do you want me to try to mail them to you? If so, how many of the NJRC one's do you want?
I would also like to thank everyone who came. I'm glad everyone arrived there safe and got home safe home as well. The weather delayed a few, but almost everyone made it. Nikki, sorry you were not feeling good and couldn't come. :(
Yes, Ken was an amazing speaker and not only was his...
I don't want to sound negative, but I have 2 questions:
1. Does your apartment complex (and/or your landlord) allow fish tanks that big in the apartment?
2. Are you sure the apartment can hold the weight of a 120g tank filled?
I only ask because I'd hate to see you go through all the hassle...
The weather is looking a bit scary. There's no "rain date" though, so hopefully it will be ok. It looks like it won't start getting bad until after the party starts, so worst case scenario, we all sleep over Dan's house since he's the closest. Seriously though, we did have a block of...
I was about to post the exact same thing about EcoTech glue. I would guess the same is true for just about any gel type glue.
As for getting it to stick...
If you're glueing to a plug/ disc:
1. Apply adequate ball to plug/disc then press coral onto glue.
2. Hold coral steady for a few...
