Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
The number for Grainger should be the local store, not a central business line.
If you need to know thread sizes and you have something to go by (for example an existing metal bolt or a nut that you are trying to change to nylon) then take the sample you have to Lowes and go to the hardware...
Yep, they both carry it. You can call a local branch and, if they don't the item you want in stock, they can usually order it and let you pick it up at that branch in a couple days.
I sort of gave up since I missed a few rounds from being away from the board. It was certainly fun though Sunny so thanks for the entertainment (albeit at your unlucky expense). Hopefully round 2 will work for you and all your fish survive.
Here's a few pics I took of Karl's tank... keep in mind, these are just quickies taken with my cell phone.
*EDIT* Sorry, moved the pics to a different folder and broke the links... fixed now.
We stayed at "Hotel Cozumel". It's an all-inclusive type resort... but it's not a 5-star resort. The rooms were nice and clean and they had buffet style food available for every meal. But, the food was just OK in my opinion. Although they changed the menu every day, it just seemed repetitive...
Yep, those work although they're kinda small. However, for some reason I can see the larger pics you originally posted.
I agree with Darren... tank looks great Kevin.
Congrats Kevin. It definitely is an addicting hobby. Especially to someone who has a reef tank and can appreciate the beauty of live coral reefs and all the beautiful fish that live amongst them.
When I got certified, it was with on a trip to Cozumel with "The Dive Shop" in Cherry Hill. I took...
Oh, wow. I guess I should have picked up on that since when I was at the Meeting at Karl's house I got an emergency weather alert on my phone. It rained pretty hard at his house but other than that we didn't notice anything like what's in that link. Guess we were far enough north to miss the...
Thanks repo. Yea, I was aware of that and was thinking about buying one from nanotuners (before they went out of business). But I also considered just switching it over LED's and replacing everything with a kit. I also got a price quote from JBJ to replace the entire lid for $157.50 (which...
Wait a minute.... you do a daily run? I call BS!
Seriously though, that's good news they got it free. Good thing you had the idea to contact someone. Otherwise, it might not have turned out so well. Good job Paul!
Thanks for hosting the meeting Karl. You and your wife (sorry I didn't catch her name) were very gracious and as Taz said it was another relaxing meeting. I felt very at home and really enjoyed watching your tank for a few hours. :) Awesome selection of fish and corals you have. I took a...
I agree with Ryan. A QT tank should be completely separate from your system in case you need to add any medicines or chemicals that you don't want spilling over or transferring to your main system.
Now, if you mean you just want a separate chamber that is connected to you system and just there...
Steve, will you be by the Dive Shop anytime soon? I have a 24g nanocube and/or a 12g biocube you can borrow if you need it.
The nano has a hood and the lights work, but the fans in the hood that keep the lights cool don't work. If you had it on short time span for the lights or maybe rigged...
