First off... why the breakdown Xavier? You have such a beautiful tank! Secondly, are you going to be around this afternoon? I want to see this tank in person before it gets broken down... and may buy a few items while I'm there. I'm gonna give you a call in a bit.

    Dave’s 90g learning-curve glass room experiment

Yea, it's not a bad idea to give your skimmer a good cleaning every few months. Just stick it in a bucket with a gallon of vinegar and 2-3 gallons of rodi and let it run for a couple hours. A quick rinse after that and it should be almost as good as new. Doesn't hurt to open up the pump and...

    Dave’s 90g learning-curve glass room experiment

Dave, love the new additions, especially the mandarin. Mine is very entertaining and I think I like to watch him fluttering around more than watching any other fish. Great job on the magnets. I actually had a similar idea and over the past couple nights, I've been coating a few magnets in...

    Upgrade!

Yea, I have issues with taking pics with LEDs too. My corals look super bright and fluorescent with the eye, but they all come out pink/purplish with the camera. I have to figure out the white balance or something... just don't have the time to mess with it, lol. 2.5 hour drive? That's nothing...

    Need Nac7 Skimmer advise

Mark, is your sump setup so that the middle chamber always stays at a constant level? That's the most important thing with internal skimmers IMO. Any fluctuation in water level around them and you have issues. It could be a mixture of the bleach you smell and/or water level then.

    Need Nac7 Skimmer advise

Just thought of something else to consider. When you're changing filter socks, are you also doing a water change at the same time? That's when I change mine since it's easier to get to it with the sump drained low. I don't get any issues with my NAC7 when I change my socks... but thought if...

    Need Nac7 Skimmer advise

I'd suggest rinsing them in some RODI water before putting them in the sump. Might be some bleach or laundry detergent remnants that just didn't rinse enough in the washer.

    Reef Angel Controller

David, before you buy it... let me know a list of all your equipment you have and want to control with it first. That way, I can recommend any extras you will need above the basic package.

    Reef Angel Controller

Mike, it was literally 4 screws to open the controller case, then 4 screws to remove the board from the bottom of the case. Switch boards and screw everything back in. Other than that, all you need to do is create a new .ino file with Arduino... but make sure you go to Tools -> Board -> Reef...
