Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Because of that above analysis by Jim, I just purchased the Red Sea Pro Alk, Ca and Mg kit from the BRS’s group buy. I wasn’t believing my Salifert Calc number from recent testing (also realize the test kit is old)….from the numbers I was getting, I would have had a carbonate snowstorm in my tank.
Yh, put the excess resin in a sealed container and it will be just fine. I’ve keep resin in excess of a year (more like two or three years) without problems.
Can't do it! The alk will precipitate the cal. Also, I'd double check your mag add. Not sure whose brand you are using, but twice the volume of either alk or calc per day sounds high. Now it might be that the brand you have is more diluted than what I use. I'm only adding 40 mls per week.
Now there’s a conundrum. You no longer have Windows and the external driver needs a driver to work.
I’ve got to believe someone will have a solution. I’m a computer idiot, so I can’t help….good luck.
Congratulations GluttonousSolarWrasse!
Now here is how this works….but this is between you and me…..you can’t tell Sunny this plan.
Tell Sunny you can’t accept them now, but will be able to in the near future. This way you are guaranteed the corals “when you’re ready,” but he’ll still...
I didn't read Jim's articles, but I say NO. Only use one on a hospital tank, not on a DT. It doesn't discriminate between the good and the bad and is typically undersized anyway.
Lets not forget Bigfoot.
So what Mike was at my house…Mike the Neanderthal, Mike the Yeti, or Mike the BigFoot? This is more difficult then Sunny’s aggressive tang post because if you’ve seen Mike without his shirt, it could be any one of these three :o :
Mike the Neanderthal...
So the dumbass had the screen top off the tank yesterday while doing some tank maintenance and, at the same time, trying to watch the final four games. While sitting in the living room, I hear this banging noise, and at first though it was a noise coming from the dishwasher that was running...
Thanks Brian. I found out that if you step away from the hobby for a couple years, you do regain your newbie luck, and win a crap-load of raffle corals. Good seeing a bunch of members again.
George, the canopy looks fantastic. Nice job. I’m using some of your design elements in my canopy….someday. You’re right about the gloss. Instead of recoating, could you kill the gloss by rubbing with a very fine steel wool, say a triple zero steel wool?
