Two tangs in a 75….Tang police Tang police Tang police Tang police Tang police
Hey, who called the cops!
Thanks Tony….fed half a sheet of algae every day plus meaty foods. Eats like a pig!
Upgrade!
Better yet, I won’t tell the tang police, if you won’t…..shhhhhh!
With reluctance, I am selling a large Yellow Tang. This guy is not like the small little ones you find in your LFS. It’s a full-grown fish. $50. Pick-up in Sayreville.
HERE is the link to LiveAquaria for info on the fish.
This is funny!
I put the mirror on the outside of my front glass and all disappeared into the rocks except the long nosed butterfly. Like an extremely vane individual, the butterfly has the dorsal spines fully extended and is swimming back and forth in front of the mirror. I know it’s trying...
I was originally going to post this as a question as to why my two yellow tangs are really going at it. But I then realized that the Tang Police Tang police would just point out the obvious, telling me:
1. Your tank is too small for tangs; and
2. Two tangs are one too many.

I apologize if I’m stating the obvious, but Brutes come in different sizes. Here are the two I have….a 32 gallon and a 20 gallon.
The 20 gallon will fit into your 20 inch limit since it has a 19 ½ inch diameter (lid diameter).
Don’t know if that’s enough gallons for you, but...
You’ve raised an interesting point about schedule 40 and schedule 80….the OD on both pipes are the same, so schedule 40 fittings will work with schedule 80 pipe and vice versa. It’s the ID that gets small as the “schedule” increases.
Only $4 for schedule 80? You must have just bought a coupling or something simple. Price out unions or bulkheads in schedule 80 and you’ll need to take out a second mortgage.
For the life of me, I could never understand companies or aquarists who use schedule 80 fittings. This is overkill...
Simple fix: In the DT you are putting two overflows. Make one overflow, say a 700 gph or 1500 gph and make the second one the same overflow you have in the 20 gallon fuge. This way you won’t have a problem with excess flow. Obviously the larger overflow in your DT feeds the sump, whilst the...
As Jim says, everything is still good…..just slightly diluted.
I’m not familiar with the BRS calculator, but whatever it might be….I’m assuming if you input either alk or calc numbers, it tells you how many mls to add to adjust upward. You could still use this if you measure the actual...
