calaxa, I think just like any other fish, keep them fat and happy with food. We are also going to wait to add the flame until the live rock has built up a good amount of growth to keep him distracted. If he does nip, we can swap him out for our cherub angel and see if he is a more model citizen.

We are going to move our flame angel into the 30 and then add a clam. We will just have to be carefull and vigilant. We have extra tanks just in case.

The sign your feather duster is a goner is when it leaves its tube. Loosing the crown can be caused by stress, but 9 times out of 10 it will just grow it back. My one feather duster is on its 4th crown. I would just watch the tube, if he leaves then you should be concerned.

Is there any etiquette for bringing frgs for the raffle? We have one we want to get rid of and would rather see it in a good home.

A harlequin shrimp only eats the tube feet off of starfish so I don't think that is your culprit. Both clams and scallops are very sensitive to water quality so check your parameters. How old was your tank that you put them in? They usually suggest waiting 6-8 months before putting a clam in a...

In that picture it is still alive. My fiancee has kept stars for about 10 years and very sucessfully, so this is a new development for us. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
