Thank you guys for the responses. We were thinking about getting a pistol shrimp/goby combo from them because I cannot find them in the local LFS. We will have to think about this.
Has anyone ordered from liveaquaria.com? They are the fish wing of Drsfosterandsmith.com. They have great fish in the WYSIWYG section but not sure if I should order from them.
I have some zoas on a disc and they will grow just fine on there. My one disc is sitting on top of a piece of liverock and they are just about to make the jump over to the liverock. I am looking foward to have them covering the liverock but it does take time.
The Niger Trigger is considered more of a reef safe trigger along with the blue chin. The trick seems to keep them well fed to discourage the behavior of nipping because once they learn bad habits it is down hill.
Thank you all for the ID, since I have no algae eating fish in there I will just let it grow out. It adds some nice color to the tank and no one has touched it yet.
Those lights will be overkill and you will spend a fortune on them. You can always look at nanocustoms.com or nanotuners.com if you are looking for a full setup. If you have the tank and stand already petstore.com or marinedepot.com
Came in on a piece of liverock, don't know if it is coral or a pest or something I want to get rid of. Has grown that big in 4 months, don't know what it is. (The red thing.)
Does anyone have a setup for breeding shrimp? I have two very pregnant cleaner shrimp that I would loan to someone if they had the proper setup. I can't do the setup right now and the larvae are just becoming fish food at this point.
Calaxa,
Thank you for the advice, I have not even set the tank up yet so I will be very very patient with this setup. I think I want the clam more than the angel so another fish might have to do.
Calaxa,
I think I meant dwarf not pygmy angels, they get used interchangably in some books. We have a flame angel already so I would be looking at a CB, potters, or a multicolor if the economy improves.
I will be picking up a new tank and for the first time I will have MH. Further down the line, when the tank has been cycled and then established I want to try my first clam. The problem though is that my centerpiece fish I want will be some sort of dwarf angel which I heard nip at clams.

We have bought all of our liverock from a LFS and have never had a problem with any hitchhikers or algae problems. Once you get something in your tank, it is next to impossible to get it out. As someone said above, you can save a lot of time, money, and grief by spending a little more and...
You might want to look at mexican turbo snails. They eat algae at a rate much faster than the other snails so you don't need to stock as many. However, they can and will knock things over so be carefull. I also like chestnut snails, I have organe ones that look great and he is always moving...
CBS are very much oppurtunistic feeders. I would not put any other shrimp in that tank, once ours molted a few times it would just eat the other shrimp. My fiancee also watched as a cleaner gobie landed on the same rock and was quickly snapped in half and eaten. We never had any corals in that...
