Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
LOL.
Ok - minor update today - UPS arrived and once again disappointed by breaking part of the skimmer waste collector I had ordered.
However in this case it appears salvagable.
I bought a used MRC 1 skimmer mod'd with an extra riser. While it's not the fancy cone skimmer I drooled over or...

I saw a clip of this last night on Anderson Cooper. Interesting that the congressional rep in the article mentions "he has a bill" to ban invasive species (hint HR669).
Situation: nitrates overwhelming my crappy water maintenance schedule.
Result: got tax refund and allocated a portion to finally procuring a skimmer. I had thought about waiting for the GB with PA in June but I just decided I couldn't wait...my LR is starting to look like a green moss pit...
u sure it's not some bristle worms right?
What color are the arms?
It's highly unlikely but another possibility is a filter feeding cuke. I had a couple of those hitch in on some LR i purchased from the gulf of mexico.
standard sized AGA tanks would max out at 48". Then they leap to 72".
I think perfecto has a 120 long - 60" - but I'm not familiar with the tank. 60x18x26. Not sure that is what you want since folks like the 24" depth of a standard 120.
pdf link for perfecto sized tanks...
she was on larry king last night - if she's fake it's pretty stunning because she somehow lip synced on live tv (tough to do - ask britany spear's sister..lol).
Regardless - remember how in american idol reject hung got all this glory and money for singing really badly...there's no doubt this...
Watch it - you will not be disappointed.

Truly - a book cannot be judged by it's cover - and her talent truly is amazing.
first of all - you have to be a member to participate in any njrc group buy - and some sponsors do not honor a njrc discount unless you are a card-carrying member.
second of all - i wouldn't even bother with a crew for a new 75g. you'll probably just starve the poor guys in a new tank. Get a...
maybe try increasing the flow in that area?
what do you have in your cleanup crew?
Also - might want to cut down on feeding. Most of the fish in our tanks dies from obesity - never starvation.
You should have a sticker on the tank that says "WM Approved". ;D
what an amazing tank - what gigantor sized tang is that? Holy cow that thing probably sneers at the two yellows and pbt.
I just read this article and found this section (yes to carbon and yes to skimming and yes to water changes!)
In the most general terms, virtually any soft-bodied animal that would make easy prey on a coral reef, such as these sea cucumbers, will typically be defended in some way by distasteful...
oregonreef.
The vast majority of reefers break down their tanks long before a bristle worm can get to any formidible size. If you feel you have too many then either cut down the feeding or just drop a trap in to get them out.
